Eight Random Facts

Timothy Lilliehook has tagged me to do the “Eight Random Facts” meme.

I must have gone crazy. In first life I'm never responding to chainletters by e-mail or snailmail, why am I here? Perhaps because blogging is a legalised variety of exhibitionism? *counts how many posts are about herself* ;-)

Here are the rules:
(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
(4) Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

And here are the facts about me. Some about Zippora, some about human, some fit both, I think it's obvious :)

Fact 1
I'm not a geek. I'm not interested in what is inside my computer - it should just work -, I don't have any technical devices that fit in my pocket, and I think most Science Fiction is boring.

Fact 2
I'm a Mac fan. I've bought my first Apple (a Macintosh Classic II) about 14 years ago, and now I'm perfectly happy with my sleek, white, shiny MacBook. Why? Because I'm not a geek and the machines and the OS just are cool :)

Fact 3
I don't like watching television. I actually didn't have a TV at home before my 18th. The annoying thing about TV is that you keep watching and zapping (and falling asleep), even when you loose interest, which in my case is quite often. SL is actually a great alternative to spend your evening :D

Fact 4
I love games. No, not on a screen (except Lemmings - remember that? - and Myst) but the old fashioned games in a cardboard box. I've played a lot of Halma and chess when I was a kid, nowadays Katan and Set are my favourites.

Fact 5
SecondLife is my first online experience. I never really chatted, nor played online games before. And man, it is addictive to be "online" :D First there was SL, then a gmail account, a Flickr account, a Twitter account (not used a lot actually), a Blogger account, a LiveJournal account, a Spock account... what's next? *laughs*

Fact 6
The only thing I produce on my Mac is text. My building skills are limited to rezzing pre-fabs and stretching attachments. My scripting skills are zero. The only knowledge about Photoshop is that it must be great. And the little HTML I use for blogging is produced by pushing buttons and copy and paste.

Fact 7
I'm curious. I like to play and try, and I'm not afraid of buttons and menus (I actually know people in my first life who are). And that helps to do something about fact 6 ;-)

Fact 8
I have a bad memory, and always have had. I'm one of those people using the last tab in your profile. I forget names, facts, things I've told (please, just say it when I'm telling you something for the second time), things you've told me, and I even forget many of my own experiences, which can be embarassing. There's one exception: numbers :)

Now I'm going to tag Dandellion, Kate and Faerie because I love to read their blogs - thank you ladies :). And I'm tagging Looker whose blog I discovered lately. I hope you aren't going to kill me for this :P
